The weight of evidence from randomized, controlled trials suggests that homeopathy has a positive treatment effect and thus, may be effective for the treatment of influenza. For example, a controlled clinical trial of 53 outpatients suffering from symptoms of the common cold and influenza found that the homeopathic remedy Eupatorium perfoliatum was equally effective as aspirin.1-3
