HY-A is a combination of herbs intended to correct hypoglycemia and reduce blood sugar fluctuations by strengthening the adrenal glands, liver, pancreas, and digestive system as a whole. HY-A contains herbs which stimulate production of digestive fluids and enzymes, increase circulation, normalize metabolism, enhance adrenal function and reduce inflammation, especially in the pancreas.

HY-A is beneficial for adrenal weakness, anemia, fatigue, hypoglycemia, liver problems, pancreatic dysfunction, and restlessness.

Dandelion has been shown to help the liver and gallbladder filter out toxins and purify the blood, as well as stimulate the kidneys to eliminate toxins through the urine. Dandelion contains enzyme-like compounds which assist cell metabolism and increase bile secretion in the liver. In essence, all glands associated with digestive function respond quickly and effectively to dandelion. Dandelion provides viscous fiber which absorbs toxins from the bowel, balances intestinal flora, lowers serum cholesterol, reduces bowel transit time, and soothes digestive tract tissues. Dandelion is also a source of bitter flavonoids which purify the blood, increase urine flow, relieve inflammation and muscle spasms, and provide a mild laxative action. Dandelion provides numerous minerals, including calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc. Due to its high mineral content, dandelion is very beneficial for anemia. Dandelion is also a rich source of vitamins, including A, B1, B2, B5 (pantothenic acid), B6 , C, E and P.

Horseradish is a strong digestive stimulant, increasing both gastric juices and appetite. Horseradish stimulates circulation, induces perspiration, increases the production of mucosal fluids to remove allergens and toxins from the respiratory tract, and also acts as an antiseptic, diuretic and expectorant. Horseradish is rich in chromium, which stimulates enzymes involved in glucose metabolism. Chromium is also a key component of GTF (glucose tolerance factor), a substance which enables cells to absorb glucose—blood sugar—to burn for energy.

Licorice increases the production of digestive fluids and bile, soothes mucus membranes (especially in the stomach), relieves pain and inflammation, relaxes muscle spasms, enables the body to expel phlegm, strengthens the adrenal glands, stimulates the adrenal cortex, lowers cholesterol, and acts as a mild laxative. Licorice has also been shown in numerous studies to be quite effective in treating hypoglycemia, especially due to adrenal stress. Additionally, licorice exhibits antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, antiviral, and possible anticancer properties. Licorice is rich in magnesium, silicon, and sodium and contains high amounts of chromium, cobalt, iron, potassium, and niacin (B3).

Safflowers stimulate the production and release of bile, helping to relieve gallbladder dysfunction, gallstones, jaundice, liver congestion and stagnation, sluggish liver function, and menstrual problems related to liver congestion. Safflowers are rich in chromium, which stimulates enzymes involved in glucose metabolism. Chromium is also a key component of GTF (glucose tolerance factor), a substance which enables cells to absorb glucose—blood sugar—to burn for energy.
